In 2008, the building on Quincy Street that formerly housed the Fogg and Busch-Reisinger museums closed for a major renovation. During this renovation, only the Arthur M. Sackler Museum and Adolphus Busch Hall and Garden are available for rental.

Fogg Museum

The Fogg Museum is currently unavailable for rental (see above).

Adolphus Busch Hall and Garden, 29 Kirkland Street, Cambridge

Built in the spirit of a grand medieval hall, with its dramatic architectural features, adorning statuary, and world-renowned organ, Adolphus Busch Hall provides an enchanting atmosphere. In the warmer months guests may enjoy the adjoining terrace and garden.

Adolphus Busch Hall housed the Busch-Reisinger Museum (founded in 1903 as the Germanic Museum) from its completion in 1917 until 1987. The building retains a stunning collection of plaster casts of Germanic sculpture and architectural monuments.

Adolphus Busch Hall is available for a reception for 100 or a seated dinner for 90. Rental cost is $4,200 and includes membership in the Harvard Art Museum at the Patron or Corporate level. Rental cost for Harvard departments and affiliates is $2,900.

Arthur M. Sackler Museum, 485 Broadway, Cambridge

The exhibition Re-View, on display at the Arthur M. Sackler Museum, presents many different parts of our collection together in new and thought-provoking ways. It features some of the most treasured works from the Fogg's collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to contemporary times, the Busch-Reisinger's collection of art from Central and Northern Europe, and the Sackler's collection of ancient, Asian, Islamic, and later Indian art.

The Arthur M. Sackler Museum lecture hall seats 280. The Sackler lobby can accommodate a standing reception for 80. Rental cost includes membership in the Harvard Art Museum at the Patron or Corporate level. Rental cost: Lecture Hall: $1,000; Lobby: $2,000; Lecture Hall/Lobby: $2,500; Lobby/Galleries: $3,500.
